Who We Are

Mid-State Health Center is committed to providing high-quality, affordable healthcare for every member of our community, regardless of ability to pay. In 2025 alone, we cared for more than 14,500 patients across the region. Philanthropic support helps makes this possible — ensuring that even our neighbors who are uninsured or underinsured can access the care they need.

The Challenges

Providing this level of care comes at a cost. Rising operating expenses, plateaued insurance reimbursement, and the high cost of specialty services stretch our resources to the limit. Last year alone, Mid-State absorbed more than $154,500 in uncompensated care to ensure no patient was left behind. That is why philanthropic support is vital. Your generosity helps bridge the gap between what healthcare costs and what insurance will cover — ensuring that every member of our community can receive the care they need, when they need it.
