Mid-State Health Marks National Health Center Week: August 2nd – 8th

Jul 30, 2026 | Health Highlights, News

Mid-State Health joins the National Association of Community Health Centers and over 1,500 Community Health Centers (CHCs) across the country to celebrate National Health Center Week and recognize the vital role health centers play in providing affordable, effective, comprehensive primary care to more than 52 million Americans, regardless of insurance status or ability to pay. This year, we celebrate how health centers use innovation to reach more patients and improve outcomes.

For nearly 30 years, Mid-State Health has provided high-quality, affordable, and accessible healthcare services to communities across central and northern New Hampshire. Mid-State Health is committed to ensuring every individual has access to the care they need, regardless of insurance status or ability to pay. This year we celebrate how health centers use innovation to reach more patients and improve outcomes.

Health centers don’t just expand access. They improve outcomes and save money. For just 1% of national health care spending, CHCs deliver primary care to 14% of the U.S. population and save the health care system billions of dollars each year by preventing costly hospital visits. Mid-State Health is proud to be part of this critical mission.

Today, Mid-State Health serves over 18,000 patients through more than 80,000 visits across central and northern New Hampshire, with offices in Plymouth, Bristol, Lincoln, and Littleton. Care at Mid-State goes beyond appointments; it’s about supporting the whole person through services like primary care, chronic disease management, and behavioral health.

This National Health Center Week, we invite our community to take a moment to recognize and thank the dedicated healthcare professionals who work tirelessly to keep our communities healthy. Their compassion, commitment, and care make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients every day.
