Mid-State Staff Recognized for Commitment to Community

Mid-State Health Center proudly announces that two outstanding staff members, Crystal Gonzales and Dr. Cecilia Disney, have been recognized for their dedication to the community by the Bi-State Primary Care Association. The Bi-State Primary Care Association seeks nominations for several prestigious awards, which are presented during the annual Primary Care Conference. These awards highlight individuals who embody traits such as compassion, devotion, and integrity in their service to the community, spotlighting exceptional talent within the community health sector.

Crystal Gonzales, our Plymouth Office Manager, was honored with the Hunt Blair Leadership Award. This award recognizes emerging leaders who demonstrate outstanding promise in the healthcare field. Since joining Mid-State in 2020, Crystal has exhibited remarkable growth as a dynamic leader. From her initial role as a Physical Therapy Lead, she has expanded her influence, championing various teams within the center and fostering collaboration amidst challenges. Crystal’s passion, professionalism, and compassion have been instrumental in driving operational excellence and improving patient care. Her innovative solutions and mentorship have empowered her team to thrive, making her a beacon of positive change in the community.

The Outstanding Clinician Award was presented to Mid-Stat’s family practice physician, Dr. Cecilia Disney. This award recognizes primary care clinicians whose exemplary skills or service have significantly impacted the health of underserved patients or communities. Dr. Disney’s journey with Mid-State began in 2021 and she has distinguished herself as a highly skilled medical provider and compassionate leader. Her contributions to quality initiatives and advancements in early Childhood Development and Newborn Care have been instrumental in driving positive change. Dr. Disney’s commitment to personalized care and advocacy for patients and staff reflects the core values of Mid-State, making her a role model for healthcare professionals.
