As the temperatures drop and we head into the colder seasons, Mid-State Health Center wants to remind the community to take simple, proactive steps to stay healthy and protect against the flu. One of the best ways to do that is by getting your annual flu shot, and they’re making it easy for you and your family.
Mid-State Health is hosting walk-in family flu clinics at their Diagnostic and Care Center, located at 28 Main Street in Plymouth, NH. Clinics will be held every Tuesday from 4:00pm to 7:30pm through October 28th, 2025, with an additional Saturday clinic on October 18th from 8:00am to 3:30pm. No appointment is needed, just stop by! If those times don’t work for you, additional dates and times are available to schedule, call (603) 536-4000.
For adults 65 and older, high-dose flu vaccines, specifically recommended for this age group, are available at Genoa Pharmacy and Mid-State’s Boulder Point location. Walk-ins are welcome there Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 4:30 pm. The flu clinics are open to everyone, with or without insurance, though a small fee may apply.
The flu, or influenza, is a contagious respiratory illness that can lead to serious complications, especially for young children, older adults, and those with certain health conditions. Getting vaccinated each year is one of the most effective ways to protect yourself and those around you. Along with getting your flu shot, be sure to wash your hands frequently, cover your coughs and sneezes, avoid touching your face, and stay home when you’re feeling sick.
