Mid-State Health is excited to welcome Matthew Zak, MD, to its Same-Day Care team at the Diagnostic Care Center, located at 28 Main Street, Plymouth, NH. Dr. Zak takes a patient-centered approach, providing compassionate, high-quality care for individuals of all ages, from newborns to seniors. He treats a wide range of urgent health concerns, including sudden illnesses and minor injuries, while ensuring patients receive timely medical attention in a convenient setting, helping them get the care they need while avoiding unnecessary emergency room visits.
Dr. Zak earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Tennessee College of Medicine in Memphis, TN, following his Bachelor of Science in Biology at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. He completed his Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Residency at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, MD, where he gained extensive experience in comprehensive, patient-centered care.
With a passion for patient education and a strong background in acute care, preventative health, and musculoskeletal conditions, Dr. Zak is equipped to diagnose and treat a wide range of health concerns. His expertise in preventative care allows him to help patients take a proactive approach to their health, while his knowledge of musculoskeletal conditions makes him a valuable resource for those dealing with injuries or chronic pain. As a DOT Certified provider, Dr. Zak is also available to perform Department of Transportation (DOT) physicals for commercial drivers, ensuring they meet the necessary health and safety requirements.
