Mid-State Health is expanding its commitment to maternal and infant wellness with the launch of a new walk-in Lactation and Postpartum Support Clinic, designed to provide expert guidance and compassionate care for new parents. The clinic offers families a welcoming space to address common postpartum concerns, including breastfeeding and bottle-feeding challenges, pumping and formula use, breast pain, milk supply concerns, tongue ties, and weaning.
In addition to feeding support, the clinic provides care for postpartum recovery, mental health, and medication safety while breastfeeding, ensuring parents receive the comprehensive support they need during this critical stage. By offering expert guidance in a relaxed, walk-in setting, Mid-State Health aims to help parents feel more confident and supported in their postpartum journey.
Recognizing that the postpartum period can bring both joy and uncertainty, Mid-State Health has designed the clinic to support parents through every stage of their journey, providing accessible, personalized care to help them thrive. The clinic is led by Dr. Cecilia Disney, MD, a board-certified Family Medicine physician with additional training in newborn and postpartum care, and Mandy Stryke, APRN, a Nurse Practitioner with a background in NICU, labor and delivery, and pediatric care. Together they bring extensive experience in postpartum and lactation support to help families navigate early parenthood with confidence.
“We understand that every family’s postpartum experience is unique, and having the right support can make all the difference,” said Dr. Disney, MD. “This clinic is designed to provide parents with the reassurance, knowledge, and hands-on care they need to feel confident in their feeding choices and postpartum recovery.”
The Lactation and Postpartum Support Clinic will be available every Friday from 11 AM to 12:30 PM at Mid-State Health’s Plymouth Office, located at Boulder Point Drive, Suite 1, Plymouth NH. The clinic is open to all parents and infants in the community and parents can walk in or preschedule an appointment.
