Benefits of Chiropractic
The core principle behind chiropractic care is that your overall health is influenced by many factors, but one that’s often overlooked is the role of your nervous system. Your body’s internal “software”, the nerves, carries vital messages from your brain through your spinal cord and out to every cell in your body. The alignment of your spine plays a key role in how effectively these messages are delivered.
When spinal joints become misaligned, they can interfere with this communication, often referred to as “pinching” the nerve flow. While many people initially seek chiropractic care to relieve pain, the real benefit lies in helping the body restore proper function and enhance its ability to heal.
Frequently Asked Questions:
How should I feel after my first visit?
Please note that it is NOT uncommon to feel more pain, or pain in different places after your visit today. The treatment is intended to help the body recognize what it should do to restore better neurological communication to your system. With repeated adjustments, this process will more than likely lead to better communication, less pain, and an increased sensation of wellness.
How often should I to schedule visits and how many will I need to feel better?
Our goal is to get you out of pain as soon as possible. For some patients that means 1-2 visits, for others more. Years of clinical research suggest that 2 visits per week for the first 3 weeks is a realistic approach. Obviously, finances, schedule, and many other factors may determine one’s schedule but within those visits, a determination of whether chiropractic services are helping or not will be known. As your body heals, the need for treatment reduces. Once you experience the amazing benefits of chiropractic care, we hope that everyone would see us 1x a month for regular chiropractic care.
What does the chiropractor do and what can I do to support my healing?
Chiropractic care focuses on stimulating your body’s natural ability to heal. Using tools like the Activator instrument, along with techniques such as vibration therapy, dry needling, cupping, gua sha, acoustic wave therapy, Class IV laser, and ERGO decompression, we aim to enhance nerve communication, reduce inflammation, and promote healing, not just in the area of pain, but throughout your body.
Your role is to support your recovery by engaging in healthy lifestyle practices: stay active, eat well, manage stress, and follow any home care recommendations provided.
When can my child start chiropractic care?
We recommend introducing chiropractic care to children as early as possible. In most cases, starting around ages 3–4 is appropriate. Early care helps support proper neurological development and musculoskeletal alignment, giving children a healthy foundation as they grow.
Why is my leg length important?
Checking leg length is a common and valuable assessment tool in chiropractic care. When one leg appears shorter than the other, it often signals an imbalance in the spine or pelvis, not necessarily a true difference in bone length. These imbalances can lead to uneven joint stress, muscle strain, and ultimately pain or dysfunction.
In fact, many of these imbalances begin as early as age 3–4 and tend to worsen over time. Chiropractic adjustments help realign the body, minimize these discrepancies, and promote better posture and movement.

What is an activator and what does it do?
The Activator is a handheld, spring-loaded instrument used by chiropractors to deliver precise and gentle adjustments to the spine and other joints. It’s especially helpful for patients who prefer a low-force, non-manual approach. The Activator technique is backed by research and is one of the most widely used adjusting tools in chiropractic care.
