The role of Facilities is to provide a clean, safe and friendly environment for all patients, visitors, and staff. Housekeeping functions are performed according to established Mid-State Health Center (MSHC) procedures in accordance with state and federal regulations. MSHC has openings in both Plymouth and the new Lincoln location.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Clean assigned departmental and common areas according to established work schedule and procedures.
  2. Maintain clean, safe and hazard free hallways and walkways.
  3. Demonstrate safe, appropriate, and efficient use of housekeeping equipment and cleaning products.
  4. Gather and dispose of trash and waste materials according to procedure.
  5. Monitor cleaning equipment and supplies and report needs.
  6. Identify and report maintenance or safety needs.
  7. Attend mandatory training and meetings.
  8. Adhere to all behavioral and safety practices.
  9. Some travel between locations will be required.
  10. Other duties as assigned by the Facilities Manager.

The jobholder must demonstrate current competencies applicable to the job position.

 EDUCATION:   High School or GED preferred.

Knowledge of Occupational Safety Health Administration (OSHA) standards, Blood Borne Pathogens and Infection Control to be completed prior to or within one week of hire.
