GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES: The role of Building Services/Facilities Supervisor is to provide a clean, safe and friendly environment for all patients, visitors, and staff. Housekeeping functions are performed according to established Mid-State Health Center (MSHC) procedures in accordance with state and federal regulations. Work includes cleaning and/or general maintenance of offices, lavatories, exam rooms, common areas and grounds. Duties are outlined by the supervisor but independence is exercised in their execution.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Oversight and management of Building Services Technicians.
- Trains custodial staff to maintain an orderly, safe and efficient cleaning operation.
- Establishes schedules, duties and procedures for custodial staff to perform all needed cleaning work in a timely and effective manner.
- Clean assigned departmental and common areas according to established work schedule and procedures.
- Maintain clean, safe and hazard free hallways and walkways.
- Maintain grounds and exterior facility according to schedule.
- Demonstrate safe, appropriate, and efficient use of housekeeping and maintenance equipment and cleaning products.
- Gather and dispose of trash and waste materials (including biohazards) according to procedure.
- Monitor equipment and supplies and report needs.
- Identify, prioritize and mitigate urgent maintenance or safety needs.
- Perform minor carpentry and building repairs as needed.
- Assist Director of Facilities in any ongoing projects as needed.
- Attend mandatory training and meetings.
- Adhere to all behavioral and safety practices.
- Other duties as assigned by the Director of Facilities.
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in related field required.
EXPERIENCE: At least five years of related experience required with management experience preferred.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite required. Requires manual and finger dexterity and occasionally requires lifting and carrying items weighing up to 50 pounds.
